Glycemic Index Food List

Glycemic Index is the numeric rating or the value given to a food based on their speed with which they release the glucose in the blood. The food which quickly increase the blood sugar levels are high glycemix index foods and the foods which slowly increase the blood sugar levels are known as low glycemic index foods.

Some foods are also considered in moderate category, which means you can still include these foods in your diet, but if you want to lose weight or maintain your blood sugar level or serum insulin level, take care of the quantities.

To understand it easily, remember that low number is equal to good and high number is considered as bad. To help you select the foods which are good for you, we have created this list below, which will give you the idea of glycemic index of few foods.
