Winters always brings in the warmth somehow. I hope you are getting what i mean here. Actually, what i feel is that as soon as the season change and winters starts to pave in, you can see warm food, warm colors and woollen attires everywhere. Seeing all this warmth around here in the environment not only gives me a cozy feeling but also make me enjoy the coming season.

Now, talking of the winter season definitely calls for some warm food and what's more comforting than a hot cup of latte in that chilly winter night? However, the twist here is that you can enjoy various types of latte in spite of that traditional latte. Here i am going to share the recipe of a delicious and yummy sweet potato cinnamon latte. You can also make the other variant of it like pumpkin latte etc. The sweet taste of sweet potato and cinnamon makes the drink palatable and it really compliments the taste buds during a winter night. The best thing about this hot drink is that it is very easy to make and requires only four ingredients.

Recipe:

Ingredients:

Sweet Potato: 2 small (boiled, peeled and mashed)

Milk: 2 tea cups

Honey: 2 tsp

Cinnamon Powder: 1/2 tsp

Method:

1. Collect all your ingredients first.

2. Put the milk in a pan and turn on the stove. Warm the milk till you see the bubbles on the sides of the milk, as you can see in the picture below. Do not boil the milk.

3. Now put all the ingredients except the cinnamon in a food processor and pulse for 50-60 seconds or till the sweet potato get mixed with the milk and froth starts to appear over it. If you don't have a food processor, you can very well mix it in a mixer. Now, pour the drink in a coffee mug.

4. Dust the cinnamon powder over it to give it an excellent visual appearance.

5. Your yummy and healthy sweet potato cinnamon latte is ready to serve.

Total Time: 5 mins (excluding the cooking time of sweet potatoes)

Serves: 1

Variations:

  • You can use pumpkin instead of sweet potato.

  • Replace honey with maple syrup if you want to.

  • Experiment with the spices and add any other of your choice.

Note:

If you are watching your weight, i can bet you will love this as it is so yummy and filling. Believe me, i couldn't even finish it. I had just half of it. So, it can be a good option for a salt free dinner.

If you try this recipe, give your feedback in the comment section below, i would love to read that and yes, please share your pics with me on instagram, facebook or twitter (#nainjakapoor).
