Refreshing Drink: Cantaloupe Lime

Cantaloupe belongs to the Cucumis Melo species in the Cucurbitaceae family. This fruit is rich in so many antioxidants and anti-inflammatory phytonutrients. Carotenoid alpha-carotene, beta-carotene, beta-cryptoxanthin, lutein; flavonoid luteolin etc are to name a few. A popular summer fruit which is so delicious to eat as it is can also be a part of other dishes like ice-creams, shakes and drinks.

Cantaloupe has so many good nutrients and it helps us in various problems. To say a few, cantaloupe:

  • Improves digestion

  • Improves learning and memory

  • Lowers the risk of asthma

  • Improve Heart Health

  • Is very good source of Potassium

  • Has high water content

  • Is beneficial for skin and hair

Here, i am going to share the recipe of one very delectable summer refreshing drink recipe, made from off course, Cantaloupe.

Recipe: Cantaloupe Lime

Yield: 1 serving

Prep Time: 5 min

Total Time: 5 min

Ingredients:

1 cup chopped cantaloupe

1 tsp Lemon Juice

1/2 cup water

1.5 tsp Honey

Method:

Put all the ingredients in a jar and blend.
